Bio Behçet’s Trial

08 Mar 2018

The BIO BEHCET trial aims to understand more about the different ways of treating Behçet’s Disease (BD). It is a randomised control trial of two drugs: infliximab and alpha interferon often used to treat BD.

If you have been diagnosed with BD and have not responded to treatment with other medications such as steroids or immunosuppressants you could be eligible to take part.

If you would like more information about the study then contact a member of your "usual" Behcets Care Team. They will be able to discuss the study further with you, answer any questions you have and let you know if your are eligible to take part.

The three main Behcets are involved, The Royal London Hospital Behcet's Centre of Excellence, Aintree Behcets Clinic and Birmingham Centre of Excellence Sandwell and West. Other Vasculitis Centres involved are Addenbrookes Lupus and Vasculitis Clinic, Manchester Kellgren Centre, Chapel Allerton Hospital Leeds, Freeman Hospital Newcastle, Bristol Vasculitis Clinic and South Shields Hospital.
