Fundraising for Vasculitis UK

Fundraising activities are a valuable and significant source of income for Vasculitis UK. The income received from fundraising goes towards supporting vasculitis patients, raising awareness of vasculitic diseases and helping to fund essential vasculitis research.

There are many ways of fundraising and if you can have fun in the process, that makes it all the better.

Taking Part in (or setting up) an event

We at Vasculitis UK are indebted to all the gallant members and supporters who undertake fundraising activities to raise funds for the charity.

Whatever event you are thinking of entering or holding, we can provide you with an information pack, posters, sponsorship forms, t-shirts, pens, stick-it notes, balloons and information leaflets etc to help you promote your event. In addition, your endeavours will be advertised in our Newsletter, and on our Facebook page.

We are always keen to have photos of our fundraisers in action, and these feature in the Vasculitis UK Fundraisers’ Photo Gallery

Organised Endurance events

Some of our fundraisers run or cycle in endurance events. Our volunteer Claire Tolliday specialises in helping people get organised for marathons or cycle rides.

All other Events

Charlotte Smith is our volunteer who can help you make the most of your involvement in other events.

For the energetic:

  • Long distance walks
  • Parachute jumping
  • Mountain climbing
  • Cycle rides
  • Bungee jumping

Less physical events include:

  • Coffee mornings
  • Summer tea parties
  • BBQs
  • Swishing parties (exchanging clothes with friends)
  • Book sales
  • Quiz nights
  • Pamper days (at a local beauty salon)

We have our own Fundraising Pack that can help get you started.

We appreciate that some fundraisers find that for some events the entry fees and travel costs are prohibitive. Depending on circumstances, we may be in a position to help with financial assistance towards these fees and/or travel costs.

Making it easy for people to support you

Whatever sort of event you are organising, or joining in with, we do recommend using JustGiving as your main route for bringing in the funds. Justgiving will take care of all the financial arrangements on your behalf and ensure that Gift Aid is claimed on behalf of the charity.
